This wonderfully marled crochet cardigan is the perfect transition piece to take you from summer to fall or winter to spring. It's made with 2 strands of yarn, which means it works up super quickly, and the double-stranded technique gives it a wonderfully squishy texture while still being light and airy. Using 2 strands of different colors like I've done here will give a marled effect, but if you'd like a monochromatic piece, just use 2 strands of the same color!
For an extra je ne sais quoi, you can also use yarn with glitter or sparkle in one of the strands like I did. Doing so gives the cardigan a subtle glittery tint that is both elegant and eye-catching!
Materials:
Medium (#4) yarn, 2 strands
I'm a big believer in the versatility of yarn; as long as you can achieve or adjust the gauge and the quality, drape, etc. of the fabric is to your liking, feel free to substitute with any yarn you like! For this cardigan, I would recommend using a merino wool yarn to make it extra soft and cozy.
