Corner-to-corner (C2C) crochet is a technique for making pixel-art style creations, so this project is kind of a combination of crochet and cross stitch, making it super fun to design! The inspiration for this design was Bubu & Dudu, these adorable bear & panda characters on Instagram.

If you're unfamiliar with C2C, check out this easy-to-follow YouTube tutorial! It explains how to create each diagonal, change colors, increase, and decrease in a very digestible way. C2C is a great way to crochet blankets, afghans, scarves, etc. For this project, I chose to turn Bubu & Dudu into seat covers for my car! Aren't they adorable?

Materials:

Medium (#4) yarn in orange*, tan, brown, black, turquoise*, white & pink

*Can be substituted with any color of your choice

I'm a big believer in the versatility of yarn; as long as you can achieve or adjust the gauge and the quality, drape, etc. of the fabric is to your liking, feel free to substitute with any yarn you like! Acrylic is typically the most affordable option, so I used Big Twist yarn from JOANN for this project.

Size I (5.5mm) hook

Yarn needle

Scissors

Stitch markers

Stitches & Abbreviations:

sl st = slip stitch

ch = chain

dc = double crochet

ch-sp = chain space

-This pattern is written in US crochet terms.
